Mission Statement

ICERT is a university taskforce directed by the University Police Department, assigned to assist in emergency and non-emergency situations throughout campus. Training in various emergency response skills allows ICERT team members and UPD to serve with excellence and integrity by being proactive and reactive to situations. The safety of our students, faculty and staff is our main priority.  
What is the function of ICERT?
ICERT supports the University Police Department by providing university resources and support in an emergency. ICERT does not make policy decisions for the university. ICERT gathers and provides information for the TAMUCC University Police Department, who make emergency response policy decisions for the university.
